Working directly with growers across Europe, Rosenthal Wine Merchant procures and imports wines that reflect a "specific sense of place.” The company required an elevated visual identity system and refined logo to reflect the prestige and rich history of the organization and the vineyards it represents. The notion that the flavor profile of a wine is dictated by its geography and its maker drove the design direction; the visual identity needed to capture both the feeling of drinking exceptional wine and the terroir that birthed it.

The Rosenthal logo adorns every bottle the company imports and serves as its most consistent and significant brand impression. To retain that brand equity the logo required a facelift rather than an overhaul. The logo was subtly adjusted to replace skewed letterforms and address inconsistent letter spacing while maintaining the spirit of the original.
